Further to my question re Australia Post service has everyone seen article in Melbourne Age today?

There are quotes from people who have experienced late or missing mail and one woman who has mailed herself a letter to test the time after a letter posted in Gippsland took 2 months to reach her. There is definitely something going wrong. I really don't mind the every second day delivery or the slightly longer, by two or three days, delivery times. I don't even mind the $1 per stamp. It's when the mail starts disappearing altogether and I have to not only replace the items for my customers but pay the post office twice that I get a bit cranky.
