Importing from China via air courier with DDP

Alibaba suppliers said they do not do DDP via air shipping to Australia.

If I order from Alibaba china supplier and they ship the product via a courier like DHL or FedEx, to Melbourne Australia, what is the method of clearing the items from customs? 

I thought DHL, FedEx and TNT like services do DDP and deliver it to our door.

Can anyone please help?

Most couriers such as DHL, FedEx etc will pre clear your items through Customs and deliver direct to you unless it is a commercial sized shipment where the GST and Import Fees need to be cleared at the border.

What sized shipment are you thinking of?
