After twelve days my item still hasn't left the US. It has been processed by Pitney Bowe then after four days it was put in the hands of the devil (It’s safe: We’ve collected your parcel) APG. Ebay, your idea of priority shipping is pitiful.
If you read through these boards, you will see many complaints about the Global Shipping Program.
Even though it is referred to as priority shipping, PB use cheap slow shipping; the GPS enables delivery of items you might otherwise not be able to purchase on eBay for shipping to Australia, but it is not a premium /fast method.
"your comment is bordering on stupid."
Rubbish, your statement is, at best, naive.
Perhaps, OP, you are unaware of how many US and UK sellers have ceased to offer their items for international shipping on eBay.
If the seller is opted in to the GSP, and does not want to offer international postage to any overseas buyer, that seller may not even be aware that said buyer can in fact purchase the item.
There are other ways to buy from overseas sellers — using a US parcel forwarding address, or persuading the seller to offer an overseas shipping method themselves — but given the increasing risks of overseas sales and delivery, I never blame a seller for refusing to consider a request for sending via cheaper method. The GSP gives a buyer very high protection from claims of INR (and even SNAD).
I’m not advocating or recommending the GSP, just stating facts. I do not purchase items available only through the GSP; you have the same option. Don’t buy if you don’t like the GSP.
And… I try always to consider the context of an insult.
