Before bidding or buying you can send a message to the seller and ask if they're prepared to ship the item and if they could give you a quote for post and packaging.
If it clearly says in the listing that the item is pick up only then I wouldn't even send a message. A lot of sellers will not ship items that are fragile or heavy, difficult to package or over the Aus Post size limits.
