canceling an order because of long postage time

I have purchest some guitar strings not realising they are coming from China - not that this is a problem.

The problem being that what was a 2 week postage became 1 month and now has blown out to a 3 month wait.

Anyone know how to cancel an order - I'm not willing to wait 3 months for a couple of sets of guitar strings.

Hiow long since you bought?

There is no eBay facility for you , as a buyer, to cancel a purchase. Have you asked the seller to cancel? That would normally be the first recourse.

eBay has a limited timespan, 30 days past last estimated delivery I believe, in which to open an INR case. Paypal allows more than that. 180 days from pruchase date, but I'm not sure if that applies to INR.

There is a thing called Chinese New Year. Happens in Jan-Feb every year. The entire country shuts down for several weeks. There is another thing called COVID-19. A lot of Chinese businesses still aren't operating, and the Australian government is reportedly not allowing any mail from China into the country.

It sometimes pays to keep up to date with current events.
