Hi everyone,  I hope this is relevant, I have been receiving emails over the last few days re tracking a parcel #CS279003594DE. this email is said to be from ebay@replyebay.com.au. but it went on to say that i have not paid for the freight so the parcel can not be delivered until i paid the amount requested. Is thia a genuine request or a scam.

I got a text message this morning and was unsure what i purchased .. the #CS279003594DE was used and request for shipping cost was required

I just got this message sent from 610466906264 with same tracking number. And also it requested for delivery fee. Spam?

I received a text message and it had my name and phone normally blocks numbers I don't know.

An update since it appears from comments this has been going a while, i just received a txt with that tracking number and link to a web site (which is very possibly a scam too).
it mentioned me by my first Name ... now i wonder if a data breach has happened with ebay or one of the many people i purchase from.
Number is now blocked.

Wow, I just got a text in Sydney with that same tracking number and a link to follow and thought it looked a little sus, so googled the number and up came this thread on the first page! Had my first name in the text too, which made it look more legit. Thanks for starting this thread!

I received a text message with my name and the same tracking no. I’ve been expecting a delivery. I’m worried as I clicked the link in the message and it took me to a webpage that seemed dodgy so I googled it and this thread came up. I’m worried I’ve done damage by clicking text link.

Had text message from 0411916393 quoting same tracking number. #CS279003594DE asking for $2.68 unpaid transit fee. Got suspicious when about to enter credit card details and googled the tracking number. Thanks all who have alerted on here!
