is there currently a Ebay issue with sellers not being able to ship from USA to Australia ?

i purchased an item from USA seller a moth ago & the seller is telling me Ebay are having issues with international shipping labels and wont allow the item to be sent.

is anyone aware of this ?

They even started a few months ago, as I posted this morning. Great, now all international parcels will be delivered by Aramex where I live. 😞 I wonder if they will be able to handle the increase in parcels nationwide? Probably not...

I would expect the same, but with the GSP many seller didn't even know they had been opted in, maybe because they didn't read the email announcing it or because it had landed in the spam folder. Well, at least it is cheaper than the GSP and they don't remove packaging, apparently. I received my parcel with the original bubble wrap a few months ago.

I haven't bought anything from the USA recently, but a few months ago two purchases that indicated First Class were sent via eBay international shipping, and it was not the sellers who changed it. One had no idea how it even worked and when she saw "delivered" (to the next carrier) she was even worried and asked me if I had received my item, and the other seller had specifically changed the listing from the Global Shipping Program to First Class at my request, and we had talked about it, but apparently the label printed out for eBay international shipping.

I think the reason might be that USPS had temporarily suspended shipping to Australia, so maybe eBay changed it to its international shipping, but when I bought my items USPS had already resumed shipping to Australia. However, maybe eBay didn't know and had not reverted back to normal shipping, I don't know.
