aye you also waiting monts for items with a yanwen tracking number? does your tracking number stop tracking as soon as the item is on the plane and then a month later your item is still location unknown?
this is unacceptable as china is only a 9 hour flight to Australia.
yes in most cases we dont care how long it takes to get here or where it is so long as it gets here eventually BUT! there are the few items that we actually needed yesterday or are expensive where tracking is a really big deal like the charging port to repair my sony smart phone so i can make phone calls which is nearly 2 months MIA.
as far as Yanwen goes it seems like these tracking numbers are a scam
You have a more serious issue than tracking numbers and waiting time.
The risk with buying anything electronic/electrical from China is that the components used in Chinese factories (not made for a major brand with quality control) are the cheapest possible, and very frequently do not meet the product specifications. WIth electronic items the risk is huge. The raw materials of which such items are used need to be very specific, as if a lesser material is used, it won't be sufficient for the demands of the product.
It's not just that such items are likely not to work as stated (or not last if they do work, or not work to the full specs) - but - the really bad risks are the item exploding, bursting into flame, destroying the phone when you plug it in, destroying more (possibly your house), and even causing injury or death.
No insurance will cover any sort of damage caused by using an electronic/electric item that doesn't meet Australian standards. It's not a risk I would take...
Now, in terms of waiting for months - NEVER allow a seller to string you along for months without delivery.
You have 30 days from the latest "estimated delivery date" to report in My eBay that you haven't received the item. You've said that it's been 59 days since you placed the order, but if the delivery time was estimated to be quite long, it's just possible that you may be still be within the eBay Money Back Guarantee timeframe. You won't lose anything by trying, at any rate.
This is the link to Get help with an item that hasn't arrived (in other words, open a report/dispute). You should see the items that you've purchased recently; click onto the item that you didn't receive, and follow the prompts. (Ask here if you're not sure.) If you're still within the timeframe, you'll be able to open a claim.
If, however, the latest "estimated delivery date" for your purchase is more than 30 days ago, you'll need to open a PayPal claim.
Go to the PayPal Resolution Centre, log in, click onto the blue button that says "Report a problem", and you'll see a list of your most recent transactions. The page will be headed "Report an issue by selecting a transaction", and that's exactly what you'll do. Just click the selection button next to the relevant transaction, and it will clearly show the seller, the item/s purchased, the item number, and any tracking details. If there is a tracking number, double-check it to see if there's any tracking information.
Then click onto the blue "Continue" button at the bottom of the screen to go ahead and report that your item hasn't arrived. It should be straightforward from there.
Be careful to escalate the dispute to a claim NO LATER than 20 days after you open the PayPal dispute. You must do this, otherwise the dispute will automatically close and you won't be able to re-open it.
Make sure that you reply within the PayPal dispute if the seller responds, and if you're not certain about how to respond, post here again as there are a number of very knowledgeable responders who can advise.
You will never receive the item.
Myself I brought 8 items from 4 sellers in China.
I have not received the items.
eBay not let sellers that use Yanwen courier service on their website.
A lot of mainstream tracking numbers only work withing the country of origin....it is cheaper than full tracking.
Royal Mail, Canada Post and USPS all have tracking services that only work within their own country.
If you want full tracking pay extra to get it.
Google Yanwen and you see that fake tracking number used.
I wish luck with receiving your.
eBay should not have sellers that used Yanwen on the eBay website.
Since it has been over a year since the OP asked , they will need more than luck if they don't have it by now
I wish you luck in getting eBay to do anything about sellers using them, as commented on your other posts about this
