I bought a belt that turned out to be counterfeit. I messaged the seller like eBay says to and they said they were sorry, it was a gift and to send it back for a refund. How should I go about doing this? The seller is being cooperative now, but the fact that they're selling a fake item and didn't question me when I told them it's fake means I don't really trust them. I'm not going to send it back to them (registered post with signature on delivery obviously) and just hope they are legit and do refund me; but if I open a dispute with paypal, I've heard I would have to get written proof from an approved authenticator at my expense to prove it's fake.  Could I request the seller cancel the transaction, so that when I post at least it's in the system that I am returning it? My husband purchased a tractor part and it didn't fit. We sent it back to the seller and after a lot of stuffing around he has told us that he will refund only part of the purchase price only AFTER we leave feed back. He knows after all the stuffing around he has put us through that the feed back will be unfavourable. So he is holding our money at ransom. On September 9th.a buyer won an item from me. It was posted the next day by REGISTERED mail. Yesterday (67 days after the purchase) I received a chargeback account hold from Paypal who advised me that the buyer has stated his account was used without his authority.   I provided proof that the item was  received and signed for by the same person who lodged the chargeback claim.The item incidently,was delivered the very next day after payment and to the correct address.   Astonishingly,Paypal  accepted the claim after all this time but I would have thought the claim has been lodged well out of the time frame.   At no stage has  the buyer contacted me to open a discussion so I think the best way to solve the problem is to invite the Post office investigations department to look into the matter. That way the signature of the person who actually signed for the letter can be compared to the signature of the member and if it should differ someone is open to fraud charges.   Any suggestions please?...and has anything similar happened to others?...I'm particularly interested in view of the time frame factor in terms of days.. ... Hi, Everytime I try to pay for my 4 items purchased 31-10-13 & 2-11-13, the invoice says 6 items. Hi there, My German PayPal account which is linked to my ebay account does only seem to allow for German credit cards (the country selection drop down is disabled). A couple of days ago I purchased a whipper snipper on Ebay.   Since the seller lives in the next suburb to me, I arrange with him to pick it up Tomorrow - the earliest convienent time for him- and pay cash.   Yesterday I purchased a top on line from Queensland and so I paid for it using PP.   Now I see PP have withdrawn both payments from my account.  I did not authorise the first payment.   Now the seller will be slugged with PP fees that he really shouldn't have to pay.     Is this usual practice for PP, please? ... Hi, I won a bid in UK, seller wanted payment by paymate. I went to make payment and there was an error with paymate. It is showing paymate pending on my ebay and awaiting payment and it wont go through. Seller advised he is having probs with Paymate so for me now to pay with Paypal. I requested a new invoice so I could pay however seller has advised on his ebay it is showing that I have paid for item (even though I have not) therefore he cannot issue another invoive for the same item that has just been sold. I dont know how to canx the Paymate pending and concerned that seller could advise his paypal outside of ebay that I will not be covered.
