Has anyone else received an e-mail purporting to be from Paypal advising that "your credit card has been removed from your account", and to contact Paypal via the link included to advise if the information is incorrect?    I clicked on the link to advise that the information is incorrect and was re-directed to a non-operating website.    Very strange. I recently sold an item, bidder paid immediately via Paypal. They received message "Unclaimed Funds", they cancelled this transaction and attempted again, receiving same message.    I am unsure as to why the winner would have received this message, as I have used Paypal for both purchases and receiving funds previously, and I had brought items over the weekend using Paypal with no problem.    The winner attempted another transaction, she has since advises that her CC shows THREE Paypal debits.   From her point of view she has 3 debits that need to be credited, I obviously look like a bad seller and my Paypal shows no pending transactions at all.   I have received an automated response from Paypal with their FAQ and may have found the issue with the email address in the listing missing the "au" at the end (Inadvertently deleted) but cant find anything else wrong.   Has anyone got any advice of where I can go next? ... I wish to sell surplus household items.  I have not sold on ebay for a few years.  Previously my buyers paid me via bank transfer.  I understand that current ebay policy says I must offer one safe payment method.  1. Can I state bank transfer as preferred payment as long as I do offer Paypal as a choice as well? 2. If a buyer pays with Paypal, can they then say they did not receive the goods and Paypal reimburse them and I, as the seller, am out of pocket? 3. Will I incur Paypal fees for payments received to me via Paypal (I will only be selling low priced items)? 4. With refunds, I understand policy is in Australia that I must offer a refund for damaged goods or not as described?  Can I state a refund will be offered if not as described and buyer must pay return postage and original postage to buyer will not be refunded?   There does not seem to be much ebay protection for a seller. I had a newly registered buyer make a winning bid on an item that ended on 11/7/13 which had paypal specified as the payment method. They then messaged me asking for my bank account details for payment which I refused especially as they are new to eBay with no feedback ratings. Told them they needed to pay with paypal and agreed to negotiate waiting for payment and give them the benifit of the doubt. They said they would set up paypal over the weekend and pay me when it was set up - I messaged them today and asked what was going on to which they replied "i have set it up but i am having trouble with linking it to an account, that is why originally i ask if direct transfer was an opinion, then you would of had it within days, so i am waiting on a respond from paypal help desk".   I've never had this problem before and don't have much seller experience, I have no idea what to do. Just wrote back "Thankyou for responding to me re your payment status. so as the item was in terrible and unsafe condition and no were in the condition the seller had stated his sale description i declined to pay for it on agreement at pick up  and the seller has now place the item on gum tree he trying to sell a car that is to unroad worthy and life endangering that when i seen it on pick up i informed him of the things he did not mention that was wrong with the item pluss its life threating to any one driving it or on the road while it been driven he had said he would re sell it on ebay but i told him that i would inform ebay of his not so honest sale tactics so he instead has it on gumtree  sale price being 2500 ........ Seller messaged me after I won her auction to explain she listed the handbag as vanilla when in fact the handbag is white. She didnt apologize but said i should know it was an error by looking at her pictures. In all pictures, the handbag looks beige.I told her the handbag was my daughter's birthday present and she wanted a beige/off white handbag (she could wear it year round; white she can't) plus, she has 3 white handbags. I explained all of this to the seller. I suggested she ask the 2nd highest bidder if they were interested. She claimed they weren't interested then basically begged me to go thru with the sale. Bottom line: I wasn't in the market for a white handbag. I would not have paced a bid if I knew the handbag was white. I realize mistakes happen but I shouldn't have to pay for an item that was misrepresented. Also, I shouldn't have to worry she'll file a claim on me. I would have thought she'd understand I don't want the bag now due to her mistake but she's trying to "guilt" me into paying for something I no longer want due to her accidental listing error. I know you can't revise a listing with bids on it but wasn't there a way all the bidders could have been made aware of the listing error? Look at the pictures - does it look white to you?
