Buyer asking for Invoice on goods sold as they've purchased it for their business.
How do I go about accommodating this request, is there a way to generate an invoice on sold listing?
I've had a search on the community page for solutions and it seems like Ebay does not provide invoices.
If this is truly the case, how do I go about explaining to the customer that I am unable to provide an Invoice on goods sold? Should I suggest they use the Order Receipt as a invoice? I believe that all prices on the Order receipt is tax inclusive?
Thanks for any answers, much appreciated.
My employer accepts screenshot of ebay order page for salary sacrifice purposes. So seems like that is good enough proof of purchase for ATO.
That said, I have a registered business so if any of my buyer asks me for an invoice, I just generate it separately for them
I was asked to provide an invoice for a customer who was buying decorations for a stage set and wanted to be reimbursed by her employer. I wasn't able to do this via ebay, so I created one in Paypal. (this was on another ebay account).
I have had this problem in the past and the only solution I found was to NOT use Ebay for business purchases where you need a tax invoice. Ebay themselves are of no assistance at all and keep directing you to things that don't exist on the platform. I made the mistake once of buying something I needed a tax invoice for from Ebay and won't be making that mistake again.
