Condition of returned items policy and INAD returns..

Ebays policy states that ''If the returned item is used, damaged, missing any parts, or is damaged in transit because it wasn't packaged correctly when the buyer sent it back, the seller might deduct from the refund to cover the loss in the item's value''.

My question is, does this apply to INAD returns as well? I've scoured the help pages and can't find if INAD returns are included in this policy or not.

Exclusions and special coverage when the  item doesn't match the listing

The buyer returned the item used or damaged

Covered:

• The use was necessary to determine the quality or functioning of the item, or the damage was the result of that use

Otherwise, some sellers may deduct the loss in value from the amount refunded to the buyer.

I wouldn't want to put it to the test though, as the buyer usually wins if they've opened a claim through the MBG
