sold a camera lens, shipped by express platinum with tracking number, it been a week already, the buyer is telling me that the lens has lost by Austrlia post, and i have checked the tracking number online, the buyer has put an enquire, and i am entitled to claim the loss,
i just want to know, if we bring this issue to paypal, and buyer will get his money back, i lost my lens, will i have to refund the money?
ie, i got post office receipt and express platinum tracking slip,
please help
Express Platinum items are covered for $100 only, at AusPosts discretion, unless you take extra cover for more expensive items. Did you take any extra cover to ensure it was insured?
How long ago did you post the item? Were both of you in an express platinum delivery area?
Have AusPost given you any information at all?
If you can show all details to Paypal you should be covered, and hopefully Paypal will refund the buyer from their own funds not yours as long as you qualify for seller protection in all other criteria.
