Buyer failed to go and pay custom duties in his Country Germany. He put in a case of item not received. EBay refunded him before item was returned. iThis dispute was on German even though item sold on eBay Australia. Buyer after refund went and paid the duties and had item delivered. Buyer ended with refund of $3300 and my Comic book . I put an appeal in as if item was in customs was an option for appeal . Appeal denied . Now when I contact eBay with proof of item delivered and Australia post investigation stating so .. they send it to German eBay who say case is closed and they can’t do anything. Any suggestions. I try to get my seller protection activated but all the eBay agents say is we have to send this to Germany for resolution. 3 times they have done this and I get the same email from German eBay ‘ sorry this case is closed’ . Please help
When you list an item for international sale, it appears on numerous ebay sites around the world, and is subject to ebay policies relevant to the site on which the item is purchased. In this case that would appear to be ebay Germany, which would also be responsible for determining disputes etc.
What was tracking showing at the time the dispute was raised, had valid tracking details been uploaded to ebay prior to the dispute being raised.
Details and tracking uploaded. Buyer only went to pay duties as soon as eBay refunded him in Germany . Proof of item delivered tracked and signed for . EBay Germany are saying case closed. No appeal. EBay negligent for refunding buyer without waiting for proof of item being returned. Now buyer has refund of $3300 and my comic . He has committed fraud and I will be getting German police involved if eBay don’t resolve the issue
There is still a possibility it has been returned to sender.
