When transaction cancellations occur does the seller get the listing fee refunded as well as the Ebay sales sucess fee? I cant seem for find any info on this? Cheers.

Hi, Only just putting my toe back in the water selling after quite a big break - due to a couple of nasty experiences with buyers absuing the returns process. Now I regret trying again! Would appreciate your advice on how best to proceed here: Sold a very high value sheer lace dress recenlty for not tht much - which is aboslutely fine. Buyer contacted a bit upset because the slip was missing. It never came with a slip, but because i didn't specifically say this in teh description and because it wasn't immediatley obvious from the photos, I offered a full refund. Buyer changed mind, said she would keep the dress and left positive feedback. Now nearly ONE MONTH later, she has contacted me again to say she has discovered 2 very tiny areas of damage in the lace near the zip, and so wants a full refund including return postage. She has already intiated return through ebay, but says she "hopes we can work something out" In her message she also says "I know I've already left positive feedback, however I didn't closely look at the dress. I can also change the feedback accordingly." Ordinarly -- as a return has been started - I would have thought I would have to bite the bullet. But given the length of time that has passed before the supoosed damage was found, the fact that she has left positive feedback already and is indirectly threatening me with negative, does anyone with real experience think this is worth fighting? Would appreciate your advice. Regards

If goods are not collected after a couple of weeks - can I keep the $ and re-list? What is a reasonable amount of time to keep large goods?. I have stayed home all weekend for the person to collect but does not seem to be able to organise

I have forgotten how I used to add an audio clip from eCommercePlayer to my listing. I have done what I seem to remember doing months ago but this results in a button being placed in my listing which prompts the buyer to right click on an Adobe Flashplayer logo. When I do this nothing happens! Is eCommercePlayer one of the active content programs which will no longer work on eBay?

Just curious, why doesn't this notification preference work anymore. So over ebay, getting less services and paying more fees. Ebay used to be great, now people go to the the trouble of sniping, screw up a good auction and don't pay, it used to be an embarassment to be a non payer, nowadays the new ebayer doesn't give a toss.It's doing my head in. Think I will look into Gumtree or is that just as bad now. Rant over.

Hi. A number of items, shipped to the respective buyers (with tracking), are showing "sending is overdue". One item NOT sent yet shows the same message, but the buyer requested sending the item after 13 June 2017. Those sent, were sent within 2 business days, so why the 'sending overdue" message. What can be done, please, as this could upset my good record? Thanks in advance. hutchhjm

A customer simply opened the case because he/she did not receive the item. There was no prior contact via messages but only dispute opened instantly. Logically, I provided evidence of delivery and further tracked the item via Australia post to determine that the item was successfully delivered via Safe drop Despite providing evidence of delivery to the buyer, the item is still deemed missing. I understand things like this can happen therefore my next action was to advise the buyer that I will be contacting Australia post to file a missing item claim and we can have a new item processed for dispatch or a refund issued. I issued the tracking number twice to the buyer, stayed in contact throughout the dispute, suggested what may have caused this and also offered a straight forward resolution but within hours of my last message to the buyer an Ebay representative was requested to help, and only within minutes the final decision was closed and favored for the buyer. So despite providing evidence of delivery with a tracking number how exactly did Ebay help in this situation? The representative was to understand the situation and help both parties. Instead, I was given " We didn't receive valid proof of delivery from you " How does this make any sense ?? Oh, and this totally f's me up from Top rated down to below standard. Suggestion to appeal or build my account to good standing would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

10% tax on the 10% fee Ebay charge for postage cost then the flow on to PayPal's bit will make a tranaction a bit costly for some buyers I think..O well ..it was great while it lasted .

The email I received says that ....From 1 July 2017, Goods and Services Tax (GST) will apply to fees on eBay.com.au, due to new legislation in Australia (the "Netflix Tax"). Is this accurate? I have read the ATO site and it seems to be about GST on purchases from overseas, imported goods. The problem is for a small user like me another 10% on top of all the current high ebay and paypal fees and charges which includes their fee on postage pricing will probably mean that it will not be viable to continue to use ebay. Are there any other ebay users considering shutting down their accounts if this is correct?

Hi there, I listed a glass item as pick up only, for obvious reasons. Last night, as soon as the auction was over, I sent an email asking would she be able to pick it up, given that she was located in another state. No reply - and then she paid for it! I've sent another email today including my phone number, saying perhaps it was an oversight on her part, and I'd happily refund her. Still no reply. I know it's still early on, but I'd like to solve this issue without getting negative feedback. I've checked my listing which clearly states "Srtictly Pick Up Only". i then checked via the eBay app (I did not use the app to list the item) and under "Postage" it says FREE POSTAGE and under that, it states "Local Pick Up". Under the section "Posts to", it says "Will not ship - Buyer must pick up" Please see attached screenshot. I'm not sure what to do. Can I cancel the order and refund her? The buyer has a score over 700, so in my opinion, she is an experienced eBayer. Thanking you in advance for your advice. tfh18

Last night a buyer told me my description was incorrect for the Valet razor blades. I checked desktop, it was fine, ipad was fine. Mobile phone showed photos and description for earrings!! I checked the decription under revise item on my phone and it was correct but when listed it showed earrings. Since then I have found a significant number of other items affected. I have rung ebay and they said they have a few other sellers reporting same thing. So check your listings on different devices. Without the buyer alerting me I would not have known. The next thing was my sold page, BUT only on my desktop! One item has completely disappeared off the page. Another shows a silver locket sold instead of razor blades. Ipad and phone correct this time but not main computer....doing my head in!!!!

Hi All, I listed an item on ebay. DVD Movie. The item was sold. Purchaser has advise that I did not disclose it was a Ex-Rental. All our sales are Ex-Rentals. I checked the listing and under the listing; Item Specifics: Former Rental : Yes I've conveyed this to the purchaser, the purchaser advises still that it was not disclosed. To complicate the matter I forwarded the wrong item, which I'm more than happy to replace. The purchaser is returning the item, I'll reimburse postage. The purchaser doesnot want the correct DVD Movie sent to him because it was an Ex-Rental, Hence, I would like ebay to confirm whether the listing is correct as to discloser " Former Rental: Yes. I'm prepared to reimbuse the purchaser for the purchase if the listing is incorrect, but I think not. Your thoughts ? Cheers Robert

I currently have my store on holiday whilst ungoing medical treatment. Buyers are still able to buy items and all the appropriate messages are in place informing buyers that there will be a delay in posting. 2 buyers have ignored all these messages and opened cases for non receipt of items. Surely eBay shouldn'y allow cases to be open whilst a store is on holiday?

I'd like to offer buyers a choice of 12 x images of a baby koala as ǐndividual prints, with discount for multiple prints, and as a full series collection. If I include all 12 images in a single listing, variations in size, format, print media & price results in 144 items & confusion. Is there a way of 'grouping' all images to satisfy all options, or to simplify, create a listing for each & explain the multiple/collection options in description? ... appreciative newcomer.

Hello, I have provided my bank account details for the purposes of using them as a method of payment, however, whenever I try to list the item, I get the following message: "We noticed that you don't have a payment method set up with your eBay account. As soon as you take care of this, you'll be able to list more items". So I click on the link to provide my banking details (again) but I end up with the same warning message, and therefore seem to be going in circles. hi, my drop down menu stopped working all of a sudden...search by best match, lowest price etc, has just stoped working.. i see "javascript" appears in bottom left hand corner, when i scroll over non working drop down menus... i uninstalled my java, and re-installed new version, still nothing...i have 3 browsers, firefox, ie, and google chrome, but none work.any help would be appreciated
