Hi I made a silly mistake in which I thought that by listing my article at $180 and having a starting bid at $120 meant that it would NOT be sold unless it reached my reserve of $180. Silly me. It sold on the starting and one only bid of $120. I contacted the seller immediately ( the minute it sold) and explained my mistake, apologising profusely and asking if I could refund him immediately (as the item I had mistakenly bought for $211 the week before new and would rather try selling properly). He was incredibly rude and sarcastic and said no way. However I had listed it as Local Pick Up Only as it is very big and heavy and he lived in another state. He had ignored this. It would cost about $50 to post. I think he had not noticed that as never mentioned the cost of posting it let alone paying ahead. Given his behaviour I cancelled and refunded immediately. If he gives negative feedback, do I have any recourse because of the pick up aspect he ignored??? And because i contacted him immediately with profuse apologies for a stupid but honest mistake (I have hardly used ebay and only for cheap items-- and have a !00% pos feedback status. Can I relist (fixed price) without doing more damage to my reputation? Thanks v much
