selling on eBay: cancelling an order

Hi,

i need to cancel an order placed by a customer that i could not fulfil due to problems with my supplier. 

i issued a full refund through paypal but when i went to cancell the order through eBay it was asking to refund thrugh ebay as well.

how can i cancel the order without sending through another refund?

I haven't done one for while but I am almost sure after going into the cancellation and selecting to refund the next window asks whether a refund is required or if it has already been refunded.
