1 buyer has made 4 offers on an item.. How is that even possible?

Well this is certainly a new one!

Had a very annoying buyer today, made 3 lowball offers, first one I sent a very reasonable counteroffer. Second one I straight up declined, third time I countered with the full asking price as he was just getting annoying at that stage.

Just now, He has started a fresh round of offers, this is not unusual as people often have more than one account, but this was from the same account! In all my years of selling on eBay I have never seen someone make a 4th offer from the same account. If he is somehow exploiting glitches in the system I want nothing to do with him, so I have now declined, and blocked him.

Is this something you've ever come across?

No. The auto decline option means that lowball offers are rejected without seeing them at all.

Wow, brilliant work, Casey.

I was wondering how on earth someone was able to make a 4th offer, always thought it was restricted to 3, but you've hit on the likely answer I think.

desoto, you might be better off doing as lezned suggested and using the auto decline option. You could even set it very low so you still have to chance to counter offer or decide what to accept, but at least you wouldn't have to be dealing with the extreme lowballers.
