These would of fooled any unsuspecting buyer and with the tracking showing legitimate numbers, potentially costing Australia Post ga-zillion dollars of lost revenue.
Obviously the old yellow design Express Post satchels are easier to pass off than the new ones.

mmmn tracking no.s of the counterfeits would be helpful, we'd know if we'd been scammed before we found out unsuspectingly when lodgeing parcels!

Getting the check digit right on the last number is the trick and all those I typed in, worked ?
For $2,000,000 in postage using Express Post 3kg satchels at $15 each as an example would need 133,000 satchels sold... that would take a fair amount of time to launder through eBay.
Federal sentences are long and hard and the lot will do time if found guilty.
Next in line please...

Only the satchels were fake - the tracking labels they stuck on them were legit AP labels (Aus Post give them away for free to be used on parcels only, but of course they get distributed and even sold on eBay, because internet, I guess
It was one of the easiest ways to tell a fake satchel from a real one, because legit satchels have integrated tracking labels, and those just had one of these stuck on them:
