$250 Postage? Nobdoy wants to buy stuff of me :(

Hi, I run the OSFirstTimer Youtube channel and have a lot of euro and US fans. I want to sell my monitor featured in all OSFirsttimer episodes up to this point for $50 but everyone is complaing about the high postage fees. Serriously... $250 for a monitor than I have just weight with a set of scales showing me 4.3kg and it costs $250 to ship it to europe? Australia Express international shipping was the only option ebay initially let me do. I can't seem to change it now that someone has bidded. They are asking me to remove the bid now because the shipping is over $200.

What do I do? is it possible to ship overseas and have it tracked so it doesn't get lost in the mail but heavily reduce the price of shipping? is $200+ the normal cost of shipping? Serriously?

You cannot change the listing once there is a bid on it.

Air mail with extra cover is about $150. Based on 5.5kg to allow for packing.

You can cancel all bids on the listing, but if postage was clearly stated in the listing, you can enforce the bid and not cancel it.

Although why someone would pay to ship a computer monitor from Australia to Europe instead of getting one locally is beyond me.

Try Skippy Post....although they use economy airmail...takes around 30 days..but should be cheaper...and or also....offer them a seamail alternative?? And I have never ever sent a parcel overseas and paid extra for tracking. Nothing has ever been lost in 8 years...jilly
