30 day listing question.

Hi all,

Can someone please tell me the difference between 10 day and 30 day listings? (apart from the obvious!)

I currently choose to list my things for 10 days, but was wondering if there would be a greater benefit from listing for 30 days. That is, would there be a higher/lower FVF, or a higher/lower listing fee (if any)?

I realise that if I listed 100 items at 30 days each, and sold 63, I could not relist again until the 30 days ticked over (is this correct?), but in saying that, is this the only drawback?  I am thinking that it would stop me having to relist every 10 days, therefore incurring 3 times the listing fees (and any other fee I can't lay my brain to at the moment).

I'm sorry for the tedious "newbie" questions I post, but I find you guys a wealth of info given in plain English, and I'm glad you're all prepared to help out us new sellers with your experience!

You can only list for 30 days when you have a store.

If you have a store then you are wasting your money if you are not listing for 30 days.

Stores are for BUY NOW listings only and if you have auctions they are not store listings.

Ok, so I should be listing for 30 days?  Is there any decrease in insertion or FVF if I go this way?  I currently have 150 listings, upped from 100 a few weeks ago.

If you have a basic store you get 80 free listings a month so if you list them for the 30 days then there is no listing fee but if you list more than the 80 free 30 day buy now listings with a basic store then it is 50c per listing for 30 days.

It is not on this ID so it is hard to see what you are doing.

A casual seller with no store gets 40 free listings a month and the $1.50 per listing after that (depending on the price as it gets more when over a certain amount) with 9.9% FVF

A basic store is $19.95 a month with the first 80 listings free the 50c per store listing and $1.50 per auction listing (depending on the price as it gets more when over a certain amount) with an 8% FVF

Then the $49.95 a month store with the first 200 free listings then 20c per store 30 day listing with a 7% FVF
