There must be lots of store sellers out there that haven't listed their half a million dollars worth of stock that has
being sitting around clogging up their warehouse.
Not getting enough on the postage FVF's so they have to invent another way,
So they have to end their listings and then re-list them,(that should keep them busy for a few/many hours, days.

Wow thanks ebay ! I got so excited when I saw 5,000 free listings, but that was very short lived when I saw it is for over $100. What good is that?!

Free listings for items over $100, but then eBay will recommend you change the price to $3.00.

I don't like to whinge (lol ) but FGS why can't stores get a few free auctions thrown their way - I do not want to run additional IDs just to access the free auctions.
I don't get it ? Why does eBay not want to encourage stores to run auctions ?
Every non-store ID and their dog get a choice of FREE auctions every month without paying nuthin - yet I subscribe to a store and pay through the nose to run every single auction.

Why only for items over $100?

Agreed - if collectibles (which on eBay includes a variety of items not typically considered 'collectible') can form part of a store's freebies, as well as attract lower insertion fees for auctions if the freebies have been used, I don't get why other categories can't be included. If buyers weren't interested and it didn't work for the store / seller, they'd stop using auctions soon enough on their own.

Because eBay is going broke need sellers to sell higher priced items so they can receive more in fees lol.
