I got an e-mail from ebay in regards to this promotion, but when i follow the links it ask me the sign into my account. is that right?

Yes it takes you to your ebay account to accept so that is correct. If you want you can log into ebay and it should show as a banner at the top part of your my ebay. Above Monthly selling limits. Hope this helps.
