AP Express Post failing to deliver next day.

WARNING to all sellers: Australia Post's guaranteed next day delivery service is failing miserably !

In the past four weeks I have sent seven Express Post large envelopes containg my product. 

On each occasion they were posted at my metropolitan Melbourne Post Office to GUARANTEED NEXT DAY DELIVERY postcodes ( six to metro Sydney and Brisbane and one to a large county Vic town) 

On EVERY occasion they took TWO days to be delivered.

I made complaints on every occasion and so far have received six replacement Express Post envelopes back as compensation, with Australia Post's apologies. 

There has been NO EXPLANATION from Australia Post as to the delay and no promise that there would be any investigation.

I realise it is a busy time for Australia Post.... BUT REALLY !.... The way it is going, instead of next day delivery guaranteed, it will be TWO day delivery guaranteed !

sounds good! :] lucky you having an express post street-posting box! my closest one is about 10km away, compared to the post office which is about 1km away.  unfortunately, most of the Express Post parcels i send don't fit in a street-posting box anyway. though, like you DG, i factor the delivery into my handling time :]

Is it really "failing miserably", or is this comment unnecessarily hyperbolic?

Were the delayed express post envelopes you sent all from the same batch (i.e. from the same pack of 10 envelopes?), or do you buy them as you use them? Have you used any of the "replacement" envelopes to post items yet?

I do not exaggerate that I have been using AP Express Post for as long as it has been available, with just a few delivery glitches along the way........ BUT, when I post SEVEN large Express Post envelopes off IN A ROW, to guaranteed next day delivery areas and they take two days to get there, I do think my comments are valid and not exaggerated.

As previously explained.

* All were posted at a fully fledged post office before second clearance. 

*They all have left the PO that same day, borne out by the fact that ALL went through the Melbourne 'gateway' clearance depot

THE SAME NIGHT.   Then there was a gap in the tracking the next day and they ALL arrived at their destination the following day....   ALL were one day late !!

*I have opened a customer enquiry case on each occasion and Australia Post have conceded that they have been at fault and have   sent me a letter of apology every time.  

In answer to your questions.....

I bought them all separately.

The seventh one I posted, I used one of the replacement envelopes... that took two days to next day delivery destination also.

Thank you for the warning. I do often give Express Post as an option but hardly anyone chooses it. Maybe they know it's not always reliable!

Some **bleep** I ordered (regular post) and paid for on the 12th lands in Australia inside a week... I expect to get it sometime in the next fortnight...makes me think Auspost is really **bleep**house when they cant deliver interstate in that time frame.

A lot depends on how long it takes to get through Customs.
