At the beginning of July I sold and sent an item to someone
Yesterday I recieved the item back, marked return to sender on the 5th of september, two months after it was sent. The return to sender sticker said 'left address'. I'm confused why it took two MONTHS for the item to be returned to sender, seems a bit weird to me.
I've had no contact with the buyer about the item, they have had no feedback left for them since mine so I presume no transactions, I've messaged them but haven't gotten a response yet. It would seem they've forgotten about the item.
How should I proceed? How long do I hold onto this item waiting for a response? Do I try to find their transaction and refund them (can I even do that over two months after the transaction occures? ebay wont even show the sale for much longer). It was a low value item, $6, so it's not like we're talking lots of money here thankfully.
