I am not sure whether this is an odd request but I listed some shoes for sale yesterday.
About 5 minutes after posting my listing someone asked me to take photos of the shoes with me wearing them.
I said I could but wanted to know why? I haven't received a reply as to why.
I haven't done it yet, the more I think about it would be easier if I sent photos in a private message?
There's nothing wrong with my legs, but I just thought it a very odd request that I do this.
I may have also lost a potential buyer.
Thoughts please?

Maybe it's just me, but I can't think of a genuine reason why someone would want or need to see the shoes being worn by someone else o_O
To put it as delicately as I can, though, I suspect it might be someone who would just like to see such a thing.
It certainly wouldn't be the first time I've heard of, anyway (other instances include things like requesting a seller to wear the garments or shoes before sending them, supposedly to "wear them in" a little for the buyer's wife).

Oh, I did think of a genuine reason afterall (somewhat to my relief ).
Some shoes can have what I would consider fairly complicated straps, wrap-around type shoes etc, which might look a bit confusing in a plain image, and maybe wouldn't even show the true condition if they were secondhand...
I checked your listings, though, and it would seem that doesn't apply, but I just wanted to make sure to point out that my first thought wasn't my only thought.

i wouldn't be sending a private photo cos you never know what sort of weird reply or extra requests you might get next.
I don't see why they need a pic of your feet in the shoes since it's easy to imagine how they will look on their own feet.unless it's some foot fetish type thing....
What sort of stuff is in their buying history? Anything women's clothing or more like tools, men's clothes & other man buying type items?

Two words. Shoe fetish. You have to be wearing them.
Do not do it. You don't have to explain. Just ignore.
If they want to buy, they will buy.

Yes, dead right.
Do not send ANY pic's at all.

Yeah, pretty much what everyone else has said, don't.

I would be offering to put a listing up for the photos which you will promise to provide after payment then find a very hairy legged male to wear them for the photo shoot
