An add apeared mysteriously last night on my shop site

An add was placed mysteriously somehow on my site last night for 5 brand new engine head gaskets $1 each. ''Pick up only "  They all sold immediately to one buyer and paid for. I received the usual notification this morning via email . I only sell DVD media but do have some knowledge of auto parts . The several photos placed were of a totally unrelated engine parts to the advertised items In the description was just a garbled mess of letters. Ive tried to contact eBay but keep going around in circles with there chat bots.  Not sure refund the $5 back to the buyer  or sit back and what and see

This smacks of feedback manipulation.  How the ad appeared is another story, but new (scam) accounts seek out lots of $1 items and purchase in bulk just to receive automated positive feedback.  They don't want the items just the feedback.  Once they have invested in 50-100 items and secured 50-100 positives, they then list false or fake items with the feedback providing artificial 'security' to buyers.

Go back and see it the buyer has any items for sale and check the account registration date... and yes, change your password and check your bank payout details and any other account information.  Accounts do get hijacked.

You need to do a LOT more than just change your password.

The SCAMMER has tested your account to see if it could be hijacked.. and it worked !

Have you followed all the directions in the link that Sandy gave you ?

Have a look at the last couple of posts in the following thread.

A different scenario but  a lot of the information will apply to you
