Anonymous bidders - Is this one of ebay's worst moves ?

How many potentially good bidders 'think' there is foul play ( shill or friend bidding ) is afoot in these times ?

I know that no one should bid more than a fair price but how many bidders now think they will only be tricked into bidding higher ?

It would be easier to protect buyers by periodically sending out messages to all ebay users stating some golden rules.

1. Never let a seller encourage you to deal outside of ebay.

2. Never pay by Western Union.

3. Keep all communication within the ebay messaging system.

4. Never respond to, open attachments or click on links provided in emails.
