Anyone Else Notice eBay Has Changed How You Add To Custom Lists

i Went To Add To My Second Watch List Tonight And Where You Normally Add An Item There Was A Drop Down Menu i have 3 extra watchlists ranging with 140 to 197 in different lists i went to add an item to the second watch list and could only add to my main watch list could not get it to have the dropdown menu on any bowers

Contact Live Chat Told The AI i need real expertise got to a live person eventually and told them my problem well he found out they have changed the format on adding to another list that still exists these are the steps you now have to take to add to an extra list

add to you main watched list

tick the little box on the left of the picture that then highlights a button to add to custom list Up The Top

press on the add to custom list that has a drop down menu with your extra lists

pick what list you want to add to

then hit add to ?? watchlist

a notification will appear at the bottom to let you know it was add

go back to you normally watch list with the drop down menu hit newly add

tick the box to delete and hit delete

then back to your drop down menu to go back to ending soon

i don't know about anyone else but this has got to be one of the most backward steps they could do

i was able to add to any one of my 4 lists with two strokes

now it's eight strokes to get the same results,,,,they are deliberately wasting my time now are clients time of now value they keep telling us they wanting input to make it better

here's a suggestion go back to how it was and stop frustrating me by having 8 functions just to add an item i am outraged they think our time has no value i have been with eBay 21 years and never thought you would decrease a clients enjoyment and turn it into a frustration

Anyone Else Notice eBay Has Changed How You Add To Custom Lists

Being able to MOVE a selection of listings to a custom list would have been a welcome feature if the basic functionality of adding to a specific watch list from within a listing had not been removed. It appears the addition of a solid heart to indicate a watch listed item was the first misstep in this textbook case of UI web design cascading failure.

You forgot to mention that i f you manage to add a listing to a custom watch list and then attempt to delete the item from your primary watch list, your first attempt will fail unless you refresh the page first. However, as of today any attempt to remove an item from your primary watch list will delete it from all custom watch lists as well.

The removal logic for deletion from the primary watch list has been supplanted with the same logic when clicking on a filled-in heart within a listing.  Within the past month, the logic for clicking on the heart in a listing was changed to remove all watch list instances instead of the previous logic of only removing from the primary watch list.

The end result is that any item in a custom watch list must also exist in the primary watch list. Any attempt to remove an item from the primary watch list will remove it also from the custom list.

Whoever is directing the alteration of this core functionality has zero insight into what is being broken or how things work. The replaced method of adding to a watch list only from the primary watch list  combined with the alteration of non-unique deletion logic in multiple locations to identical logic across the board is what is at fault here.
