As per above, when I revise an item now, the layout of the page is completely different and there aren't as many options as the old way. Anyone else getting this?

Yes - changed about a week ago I think - at least for my listings it did!

Someone posted this a little while ago, and it works a treat if you want to revert to the old listing form (apologies, I can't remember the name of the poster ).
Click to start selling a new item from scratch, and when it asks you to type in the keywords for what you're selling, type 'car'. On the next screen, scroll down and click to continue without selecting a product from the catalogue. A little window will pop up to say that the new listing tool isn't available in that category, and it will have a link to revert back to the old listing form.

My site has gone mental today, all sorts of 'Technical glitches', postage showing up in USA postage rates only, unable to send messages this morning, unable to comment on the discussion boards for 2 hours, I don't know if it is A. The usual Ebay Friday Funnies ?. B The site is under attack - I have not heard that from E bay , but they could always pull that reason it out of the hat as an excuse. C - My favourite - Utter Incompetence by E bay on how to run a online shopping site.!

It sounds like it's sending you to the quick listing tool, which doesn't have as many options and is all done on one page, as opposed to 2 pages in the advanced listing tool. It's easy enough to change. If you use the sell similar option, look up the top right and there will be a link to advanced tool. When you click on that it will give you a warning, ignore it and change. The next screen will have the box you get to write a title in when you create a new listing and under that will be a link. Click on the link and it will take that listing over to the advanced lister. You just need to edit whatever you need to edit for the new listing.
I think if you start a new listing from scratch, you just need to click on the advanced link at the top and it will take you straight there. If not, pop in a title then try the above.
I've been using the advanced lister for years, but if I start a listing from scratch (very rare), it will take me to the quick lister. I always use sell similar, even if it means I have to change the category.
