Aust Post parcel truck fire affecting VIC parcels heading to NSW and QLD

Did anyone else easy about this. There may well be a few unhappy buyers this week (including mine possibly).

Re: Aust Post parcel truck fire affecting VIC parcels heading to NSW and QLD

I received the AP money order today covering the full cost of loss and postage. It took six calendar days so sooner than I expected.

I'm sure you'll be all right, thecatspjs. If AP don't cough up, I'd be pointing out the remarkable coincidence (feel free to quote the number) and the fact that they've already compensated me, so why not you?

I'm also sure that AP know more than they're telling us. Their access to information from the scans must show more than we can see from the AusPost website. For example, one of the people I spoke to told me that my parcel weighed 394gms. That does not appear on the website or my receipt.

Even if nothing at all was recoverable from the flames, I suspect that AP pretty much know what went on it. Shipments from Melbourne to NSW scanned late on 8 Sep 16, truck goes off, burns up half way there. They could pull out a lot of likely, even certain, information from their scanning system if they wanted to.
