Australia Post - DO NOT SAFE DROP stickers

Hi there

Does anyone know what Australia Post's policy is re. leaving cards for post office pick-up when recipient isn't at home and safe-dropping? I received a parcel today which had a large red DO NOT SAFE DROP sticker on it. I was out all day - & it was left on my verandah. Do Australia Post now have a policy of safe dropping, even when there's a sticker asking them not to? I wonder whether the removal of all those delivery options like this on Click & Send is part of a move to reduce the number of parcels being carded and left for collection at the post office. Not good if it results in more parcels being lost or stolen. What do you think?

Audrey

showed them that tracking says its been delivered.

Where does the tracking say it has been delivered to? If it just says to the mail centre with no mention of the buyer's suburb then they will win the Paypal dispute.

If you want to be certain of winning a Paypal dispute you need to use signature required, click & send or eparcel.

As I said, the tracking showed on the AP site that the parcel ad been delivered - not received by mail centre - not on-board with driver - DELIVERED.

Interesting that you are questioning what the tracking said regarding my, or any other parcel that is not your own ???

Not withstanding that I do send by methods that provide paypal protection, my primary concern is a buyer getting their parcel delivered- and Australia Post have let me, some of my customers and an increasing number of other posters, down in this area.

Australia Post - DO NOT SAFE DROP stickers

the Do Not Drop stickers are no longer available from Aust Post

.

cards are only left for Signature on Delivery required parcels / satchels

.

Why do some people persist in giving wrong/false information . Some people seem to be serial offenders in supplying information that is wrong and then needs to be corrected

.

and also others who do not read correctly and then want to bully others

.

Interesting that you are questioning what the tracking said regarding my, or any other parcel that is not your own

.

Well said

Other lurking posters, please note that the above information is incorrect.

You do not need to pay for expensive signature requirement to satisfy paypal requirements, you do however need to demonstrate proof of lodgement and addressee details.

I complete an AP lodgement form with addressee details for anything I happen to send registered large letter, regular or express, I simply attach the tracking number to the lodgement form, and postoffice stamps form with date received.
