As part of our product standardisation, Prepaid Express Post 3kg large and Express Post 5kg large satchels will be withdrawn from 8 April 2013. However, if you have purchased prepaid Express Post 3kg large and 5kg large satchels, you can continue to lodge these parcels.

Satchels aren't going alltogether, what's happening is that there will be one kind of pre-paid satchel at a basic price, and you can add optional extras to it - express, signature on delivery, extra cover etc

The prices for the satchels are:

500gm - $8.25

3kg - $13.40

5kg - $16.70

I can't see any prices for the extras, but they are saying registered post is being discontinued for parcel services (still available for letters) because all regular parcels will now have tracking as standard - you can still purchase signature on delivery and/or extra cover, so the equivalent of registered is still available.

I assume that C&S remains, and everything will be now trackable.  Guess not many people were using the large express satchels.

Extra cover: $1.50 per $100

This is under the simpler parcel products tab, I may have misunderstood it and it only applies to parcels with own packaging, but I guess it depends on how you take "we are launching a new range of domestic parcel products" - product to me means something tangible you buy (like a satchel), "domestic parcel range" infers the same thing, to me anyway, but it wouldn't surprise me if product has been used where service actually should have been...but in that case I shouldn't think there would be anything to launch. 

The new domestic parcel range makes sending a parcel as simple as 1, 2, 3:

Choose parcel delivery speed 
Same Day*, Next Day≠, Regular 

Select parcel size
Small 500g, Medium 3kg, Large 5kg - or own packaging up to 22kg 

Add features
 Extra Cover, Signature on Delivery, Email Track Advice, Cash on Delivery
