Just wish to check how others are going with their deliveries.
Of the 6 parcels I dispatched on December 4th, four are yet to be delivered within Australia.
Tracking only shows them to have been lodged.
The one international, to the UK, was delivered in 5 working days.
The other, delivered three suburbs away, took a day longer.

Thanks for that.
Interesting difference.
The 4th was an example of what is happening regularly, at present.
I'm in Melbourne.
How about you?

Canberra.
The 12ths went to Brisbane, Brisbane and Wollongong. Not a long way, and they went through Granville, rather than Chullora.

Lodged in Melbourne on Tue 10 Dec
Processed at facility in Melb 11 Dec
Tracking says expected delivery would be 13 Dec - in Canberra. I don't think so.....
Estimated delivery now between 12 Dec and 16 Dec.
Tracking still says processed in Melb.
No word from recipient in Canberra that it has arrived so I'm hoping it has at least left Melbourne and is on its way...
......but clearly the estimated 16 Dec delivery is a bust. ๐

I would love to know why do some parcels enjoy Melbourne so much they feel they need to visit each sorting centre. Unlike Sydney where they just enjoy a few days off to rest before heading off again.

I'd like to know too.
They not only like the Sunshine West sorting centre, they are happy to detour to another post office, then back to Sunshine West, then back to the same (wrong BTW) post office, then THE DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER PHONES AP and finally the parcel is hopefully back on the right track.
Some parcels also like to do a scenic tour of Vic country post offices instead of going interstate....or to the suburb they were supposed to be going to (all of 5km away from where they were posted).

Generally it seems same-city deliveries in Melbourne are very fast but interstate deliveries are slow, both parcels and large letters. However, VIC to WA rural (and I mean very rural!) was surprisingly fast.
