Apparently, Australia Post are going to bring in some significant changes to international postage towards the end of the month but I havent seen anything in print yet. Has anyone here heard of the changes - eg Pack and Track under a new name, etc

The booklet I was given is "Your guide to sending overseas" for the new services effective 18th April. From what you are saying it looks like the section that says "Parcel Pricing at a glance" might be different to what you are seeing. I wonder why they dont have a pricing guide on their website so that sellers can plan ahead and set prices for their ebay listings.

Yes, the new booklet I was given covers all AP postage service (including domestic), plus some of their financial services, prices of packaging etc.
I was still at the bus stop when I posted, but just took some scans, so here's the pages...

So, two different booklets with different information! I wonder what it means when they say "from". Is that for a package under 500g?

Why they bother having some vague "from" information beats me, not to mention the expense involved in producing that material.
If the prices in the other brochure are to be believed there are certainly going to be some hikes in pricing, I think a 1.5kg parcel to the US by ordinary airmail sees a jump of around $15!!! I think I will stop trying to do the sums and just wait.

I think the first one was just an overview of international products and pricing, while the booklet I have is supposed to cover everything (it doesn't really, because there's some clarification and info that's conspicuously missing).
I think (but won't know for sure until Monday unfortunately, when I do a test via Click & Send) the "from" is because they haven't shown pricing by weight brackets, it just says the parcel can weight up to 20kg, and prices start from $X amount, thus omitting the price for anything above 500g in weight, unless you look at the satchel prices, but even those only go up to pricing for 5kg, so we're still flying blind on packages weighing above that.

THanks for the scans dg. looks like own packaging is cheaper ... (at a glance)... I do see they've cut out 1.5kg which I used in pack n track... now it looks like up to 1kg , up to 2kg. - making it dearer for the buyer.... correct me if I have it wrong.
but if you do calculated international - add in the dimensions of your parcel weight and a small handling fee... will the ebay calculator adjust as of monday?..... or are sellers concerned that overseas buyers between today and monday will be left out of pocket until it updates (which yes is a chance).

I have a few people who have purchased items last week but not paid yet. Postage was calculated on the actual price at the time of purchase but will increase next week. There is no way sellers will be able to adjust the postage price now.
This is another reason why Australia Post needed to give people plenty of information about the changes in advance including a detailed price list.

they couldnt give us more advanced warning, they only thought up the new charges a week ago lol
