Automated re-listing of items

I am getting frustrated as some of my items that are listed on eBay are not being relisted automatically even though the box has been ticked for automatic relisting. one in every ten items is not being relisted automatically and should be. They still have 2 free automatic relists left. I have called eBay about this matter but they do not have an answer. There is also another glitch in their system where the price of an item in a 'watch' list is lower than what the actual price is...for auction style listings. Again I have talked to eBay and they admit there is a glitch but 5 days later this glitch is still not fixed. So you may think you are bidding on a $100 item where infact it is $250 start bid...what is going on?

Re: Automated re-listing of items

The auto free list problem has been happening on and off for 12 months.

Watch list problem is items appear to show with a US$ conversion but shown as AU$.

(Happening for a week or so)

It's a "glitch" that they don't seem to be to concerned about as it works in their favour,(so more money for them

and stuff the buying members).

They do it by allowing all the fake listings so this just adds another way for buyers to get ripped off,(which

they don't care about as long as it brings in the money as that's their only concern),stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Must be the end of year figures that they are trying to boost up so they can show their share holders what

a good investement they are,Who knows.gif

Re: Automated re-listing of items

Perhaps a tad despondant tazz ?  I can understand that.

That reminds me, have you a list of items you want a hand with reporting ?

Rainbow rose seeds, lists in pocket bikes etc.

It's so frustrating that they just don't care about the many members that get ripped off by buying items

that don't exist,stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Thanks, appreciated but it's absolutely pointless trying to report fake seeds as it all falls on deaf ears,(they

refuse to even remove one listing).

I reported one seller and gave them item numbers of 12 fake seed listings that are made by using food

colouring,Photo Shopped or they can't be grown from seed,(the Monkey faced Orchid being the prime

example).

The seller still has all the listings in place,Angry head bang.gif

They changed the search category for the Rainbow Rose listings so that my saved search wasn't picking them

up,stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

This site is controlled completely by the amount of money they can make and they don't give a toss about the

members/buyers that get ripped off on a daily basis.

In the last Email I sent them with the scammer ID in the pocket bike category I also included a "note" to tell them

that they should be able to pick up the scammers by using the same simple search that I use,(this is the first

week in months that there hasn't been a scam listing in that category so maybe they actually tried it),good.gif

Re: Automated re-listing of items

Great work tazz.

Is it worth starting a scam alert thread (similar to hijack hunters) or do you think it will just be removed?

Re: Automated re-listing of items

Re:Scammers....I sent a message to eBay regarding a seller who is selling fake Pandora...not even e reply from eBay and the seller is still selling their fake Pandora. I even allerted Pandora Company as they want to know if someon is selling fake Pandora as the company name is trademarked and registered, again, they have not bothered to do anything about it...its been 2 months now.

re: Items not relisting automatically...when I go to relist the item, it tells me the item is listed, I cannot list it but it does not appear in my listed items. When I called eBay, they said yes, it appears listed and I am trying to tell them, no it is not listed and people cannot see the item I am selling. A huge glitch in their system. The customer service rep then had a look at my listings in my account and agreed that it is not showing as being listed, yet their system shows it is there. I was told they would let their tech department know...obviously no one cares. I am so over eBay. I started selling as I lost my job and was a way to get rid of unwanted items that are worth something that can pay the bills. I am looking at other options now seriously.

Re: Automated re-listing of items

If you put a particular item in your watch list, it shows as a different price. People are saying it is the US conversion. Now go to US eBays site, log in, go to your watch list, you will notice the actual price is different and does not match what is showing on the AU site...its not even a US conversion...its something else...i cannot believe that after so long eBay has not managed to solve this problem. Most times I find the customer service reps very unhelpful...you will find the odd one that knows what is happening and how to solve a problem but sad to say, most do not know.
