Some of you may have read my post last week with regards to a trading assistant type sale gone wrong with has left me with a heap of negative feedback, and in the end, nearly $2000 out of pocket with refunds, fees, etc
eBay had no interest what so ever in helping me out in the situation. Requested my account not be suspended so I can continue trading to re-pay everyone, to no avail. They deceided to suspend my eBay account, and not allow me to list new items, yet they are happy to leave the current listing up to be sold (figure that). They then decided to suspend my Paypal account as well, until the negative balance is brought up to date.
So, at the moment, current listings can be sold (which a few have over the last couple of days), yet the buyers are not able to pay me via Paypal, as the account has been suspended. This firstly makes a mockery of their system, in they say that buyer safety is their concern, well eBay, if thats true, why are you keeping my current listings up, but not giving my customers the option to use the most secure from of payment, PAYPAL ?
Next step is to de-register the account, meaning I won`t be able to keep in contact with customers that are waiting on a refund, meaning those customers only course of action will be to go to the Police.
I never ever ever set out to rip anyone off, or do anything fraudulant, this has killed me financially, and I`m doing my best to keep in contact with customers, and see that funds are returned, while eBay/Paypal, are taking the opposite stance, and blocking anything I request.
Think after this, plus the rip off by eBay of charging commissions on postage, no Negative Feedback allowed to be given by selleres, and the way they pander to the buyer and **bleep** on the seller, my days on eBay will finished. I no longer have any motivation to sell on here. Very disillusioned by the way they have handled this.
Quicksales (even with the lack of buyers) is looking far better to me

You`ve missed the point of the post Harley_babe, or chose to take what I`ve said out of context. In simple terms, it would be in everyones interest, mine, the customers, and eBays, to allow me to continue to list (since they are allowing current listings to stay active), and for Paypal to continue accepting payments, so the funds will be there to refund the people that aren`t receiving the items due to what happened.
Instead, they take a half hearted approach, and as I said before, trust me enough to sell the current listings, and receive the payment via an alternative method than Paypal, but not enough to continue listing and accepting payment through Paypal

Hi Lyndal
No they can`t, but that is my point, I want to continue selling the stock I currently have, to be able to refund the people that are not going to receive the items I sold on behalf of the other person. I removed all listing that were being sold on behalf of him immediately I found out the other stuff hadn`t been sent.
As I`ve said before, it the fact they are allowing current listings to stay active, but not allowing new listings to be added.
And no, Paypal won`t allow people to pay via them at the moment, as my Paypal account has gone into a negative balance due to them refunding some of the people so far. Until that balance is brought back to a positive, the account can not be used. Buyers get a message when they try to pay saying they can`t accept payment and they need to contact the seller (me)

Really, how did I take anything out of context? your heading says "Being Screwed into the ground with no thought given to sellers" You obviously mean ebay or paypal.
As I said if you were one of those buyers you would want them to do exactly as they have done and block a seller from selling anymore. As others have suggested perhaps you should look at another alternative to selling to pay back what you owe first. Then ebay/ paypal might allow you to trade again.

Hi, I feel for you. We have been selling a few households goods and we have had buyers not contact us within the time frame stated. We had to chase them. In the end they never paid for the item, never picked it up, never even laid eyes on the item yet were allowed to leave us nasty negative feedback. We have asked Ebay to remove this feedback which they refused. The buyer keeps their feedback private, and because sellers cannot leave negative feedback, this buyer looks as though they have a 100% rating which must be rubbish.
We relisted the item, and we believe got one of their associates to bid, and the same thing happened. No money, no sale etc. The worst thing is Ebay trying to get the commission on an item that twice had malicious bidding on it, and we never received a cent.

Apart from your post soon being edited because it against board rules to name and shame other members, what you need to do is read the site map re selling. Especially what to do if a buyer doesn't pay. And if you HAD have opened unpaid item disputes you would have got you sale fees refunded and the 'buyer' would not have been able to leave feedback.
And this has nothing to do with this thread. The buyers paid and didn't receive their items.

Dukeboy, why on earth didn't you open a dispute for non-payment before relisting?
If the buyer still didn't pay you would have got your fees back for the first sale and the buyer would have got a strike against their account. (and they wouldn't have been able to leave feedback.............)
As it stands now, you've got to pay 2 lots of fees to eBay and a non-payer gets away scott-free.......................
sigh..........................
Sorry Dave, have to go to speed typing school........................

Paymate might be a temporary solution, if you have an account I'd consider revising current listings and swapping PayPal for Paymate, or looking into creating an account to do that - they do have some requirements for feedback levels, but it would allow you to receive payments if you can set it up.
