Best day and time to end an auction?

Hi all

I am just wondering when is the best day and time to end an auction?

I had an auction going that had over 30 watchers but it ended with a low price (for the item). It ended on a Sunday night around 8.00pm.

Just curious as to when would be better?

a lot of watchers do not mean prospective buyers.  most watchers will be other sellers with similar items watching to see if your item sells so they can list theirs at a similar price.

the best time to end items is debatable, a lot depends on the item.  baby clothes etc best when mummies are likely to be on line (mid-mornings, early afternoons), sports and guy stuff weekday evenings.

and remember 8pm in Sydney is 7 in SA and what?? 6 or something in Perth, so targetting a specific time isn't possible.

I personally find Mon thru Thur evenings the best days.

btw, you cannot say you do not accept PayPal echeques, if you accept PayPal you have to accept ALL forms of paypal payments.

avoid never ending on a Friday.  eBay do site maintenance on Fridays and this causes all sorts of access problems.
