Buyers have 4 days in which to pay-that is ebays absolute MINIMUM time before you can even think of opening a dispute.

Re: Bidder has not paid up for 3 days

Not everybody regularly logs in to ebay or email to keep up with communication.  A 3 day delay is not unusual.

You can lodge an unpaid item dispute after 4 days in which case ebay will take over communication with the buyer and if no response is received after 7 days will refund your final value fees and cancel the transaction.

If it is a high value item it may be worth telephoning the buyer to establish contact.

Sorry, not exactly correct. After dispute is opened, buyer will receive an unpaid reminder from ebay, they then still have another 4 days in which to pay.On the 5th day,SELLER can close dispute, they will be refunded their FVF & can then relist.Buyer will be issued non payer strike by ebay.

At the end of the day,& JMO but 3 days is way too soon to be having a stress attack lol lol

I put in my listings for auction format that buyers have 24hours after auctions end to pay or the item will be re listed.

I spoke with ebay on the matter and they said that is fine as long as it is in the listing what the seller requires

Not sure who you spoke to but eBay gives people 8 days (as explained above) and you cannot override eBay rules.  If person pays on the 8th day and you have already sold the item to somebody else you will get big red dot and they may also report you for non performance.

Of course you CAN put whatever you like..it is your listing...but...as has been said they allow FOUR days and then FOUR more after you have opened a dispute.

mens_choice_ladies_li.. you will have to check your TOS because if you have a NPB and you do it the right way you will get your FVF back and you do not have to charge  the buyer anything

Re: Bidder has not paid up for 3 days

They only way allowed as far as I know to have a buyer pay within 4 days is to accept PayPal only and tick the box for Immediate Payment required

If you have more than one payment option, you also can't use the immediate payment option

yes that does work for Buy it Now listings, but although mens-choice..... does have an eBay Store they seem to be only listing Auctions, which unfortunately do not have the 'immediate payment required' option.
