eBay don't agree. Especially for automatic blocks when the seller has no idea who is blocked.

No, no one is entitled to that. It might be nice to know for some people, but if a seller makes the decision to block someone, they don't owe anyone an explanation. If they did, there'd probably be some kind of automated notification eBay would send out (Dear [eBay member], Comiserations, you are now on [seller's] BBL. Reason provided by the seller: Looked at me sideways. We hope you find many happy transactions with the other sellers still willing to trade with you).
But not only does that not happen, eBay make it possible to prevent the buyer from contacting the seller again.

sorry if this sounds harsh . . . . but what an absolute load of hogwash!
I am not about to engage in eBay message to-and-fro with each member I decide to put on my Blocked Bidder List explaining the reason why. However, I will make one exception.
