Blocking buyers - what if they changed their account name?

If I added a buyer into my block list, would the buyer be able to change their account name and then bypass the block?

Blocking buyers - what if they changed their account name?

As Tippy Toes has said, it is almost certainly best to start a new thread for your particular question. That is because

  • the thread title actually hasn't anything to do with what you've asked
  • this thread is several years old and has remained dormant in all that time; it's probably outlived its usefulness, but I understand that the moderators here will not lock old defunct threads
  • the optimum way to attract members here who will help you with excellent advice on what to do is to post a new thread/topic.

(Also, the dredging up of quite old threads tends, I believe, to cause some teeth-grinding because it gives a false impression of the thread being new. This just brings outdated advice to the forefront, when very often the eBay policies and the advice people here will offer have changed - sometimes drastically - since the time when the thread was first posted.)

Firstly, you say the buyer has been blocked: how, exactly? Do you mean his account has been suspended or removed on eBay? Do you mean he is blocked from purchasing from you because he's in a country to which you don't post? Do you mean that the item is a pickup item and the buyer has been reprimanded and sanctioned by eBay because of a request for contact details?

If you can post with a little more information, I think there will be a good chance that the most appropriate advice for you will be posted.
