Buyer has offered lower price which I accept. Item is at auction now, no bids and 5 days to finish.How to complete this transaction. Your help appreciated. Many thanks.

Is it the recipe books? There are 2 options that I can think of. You can end the listing, then relist as a buy it now price, reflecting the lower price and send the buyer the item number, but you run the risk of someone else buying as soon as it appears in the search. Or, you can get the buyer to place a bid, then you can end the listing and use the sell to highest bidder option. Then when you send the invoice, you can deduct the difference from the postage, by changing the postage amount, so they would be paying the same amount.

I'd be interested to hear from others if there are other options, but they are the 2 that I would use.

You should be able to add a Buy it Now price without ending the auction. I haven't done an auction in years but this is from the Help pages.

For Auction listings: If more than 12 hours remain before the listing ends, you might be able to add, edit, or remove a Buy It Now price as long as the listing has not received any bids.

you could end the listing and make it a buy now but dont put any photos or description down and give the buyer the item #

Best way to do without incurring any cost for adding a buy-it-now is to:

Revise the auction starting price to the agreed price you have with the buyer.

Ask the buyer to place their bid.

Once they have bid you can end the auction early in their favour.   

Voila

On the off chance anyone else bids, as it is an auction you can cancel their bids.

When I started writing my reply, I had written 3 for the amount of options I was going to suggest. When I wrote the 2 that I did, I couldn't remember what the 3rd one was, so I changed it to 2. THAT was my third option, thanks!!!! I thought I was going crazy(er). I must have sat there for a good 5 minutes trying to remember what that other option was. Wretched C.R.A.F.T disease 😄
