How can a buyer leave negative feedback on an item without contacting the seller ( me ) if there is a problem ?
There feedback was totally uncalled for saying i needed to be jailed. FOR WHAT? I gave clear instruction on the item, measurements and a photo.
I have msg them asking what the problem is but no answer as of yet.

"do you realize that if that nasty buyer puts a complaint to ebay about your feedback YOU are the one who will get a sanction against your selling account?"
Lex iniusta non est lex (An unjust law is no law at all)
Another example of the frustration of sellers. Feedback is well and truly past its use by date.

Sorry folks the buyer is entitled to leave what ever they like no matter what anyone thinks. It only a reflection of what they thought of the transaction nothing else. And I doubt they will remove it just because the word jail is included in the feedback. They are entitled to there opinion and that's all it is there opinion. Do fret on it just put a follow up comment. Something like buyer never contacted to say there was a problem . Or no contact ever made. I think that is about as good as it will get in this case. If sellers insist on having there negs removed there's not much point in having it at all as sellers can't leave negs for buyers and if they are having them removed it means the whole point of feedback is not only totally pointless but a false reflection of the truth if the negs are continually removed.
Just a couple of quick points to address the bits I've bolded.
A buyer is not entitled to leave whatever they like. eBay has feedback policies in place that reflect that, whether the feedback qualifies as pure opinion or not. This is not something I think, it is something I know.
It's true that some factual (and ergo truthful) negs are removed, which undermines the integrity of the feedback system, but not every feedback comment is honest, even some of the positive ones, so I would be a bit hesitant to really go so far as to call anyone's FB profile a reflection of the truth. It is a reflection of opinion, and not all opinions are well-informed. 😉
