Thought I'd check my defects today and noticed 8 from last month due to the buyer leaving 1-3 stars under item description (after buying 8 things in one order). As I haven't had any negative or neutral feedback in that time, I tried to track down the comment, as it's not possible to leave a star rating without also leaving a comment (in my experience). However, searching my feedback on the buyer's ID brings up no results, and I can't find it scrolling through my feedback either. Nor can I find the feedback on *her* feedback "left for others" page.
Anyone know how this could happen?

Maybe it wasn't that buyer?
You need to run a report with item numbers 'til you get a result with all 5s . . . then you substitute in the suspected items with the low DSRs to find out who it is. Then you block them.
I've just used this method to block someone who has repeatedly been leaving me 4s (4 isn't a "low" rating . . . but if I had 4s across the board I'd get restricted, so . . . blocked).

I have 3 other low star defects that I'm pretty sure are click-errors because the feedback is positive and the comment is glowing. I wish ebay would warn buyers when they give low-star ratings, as with negative ratings ("Are you sure?") and mention that it will affect the seller's rating, just in case they did click low stars in error.

In that case ring eBay CS and ask them how you could possibly have defects for low IAD stars when the buyer in question has not left feedback. If they can't show you the feedback left by the customer demand they remove the defects and ask to speak to a supervisor if they try to tell you they can't.

why would you block someone giving you 4's that is just plain silly. It doesn't impact on your selling in any way and it's going to take a hell of a lot of 4's to even impact your star ratings. Some sellers are never happy. Be thankful you have sales at all because you won't if you keep blocking good buyers.

Not counting that come February DSRs won't count for anything.
Paranoia, thy name is ebay seller who doesn't understand the system (not you Harley).

Harley, you're welcome to run your business however you wish, and I will run mine however I wish.
I don't block everyone who leaves 4s. I blocked this person because 1. I bent over backwards for them so it was especially irritating, 2. they did it repeatedly, for multiple orders, on all DSRs, and 3. it caused my overall rating to fall, which is how I noticed that they were doing it.
If they think my service is a 4 out of 5, and I cannot do anything else to make them happy, then they can shop elsewhere. I'm not that desperate for sales, and I don't care.
