Buyer has used Buy it Now to purchase an item. Upon sending ebay invoice I have recieved a reply from buyer indicating they arte happy to pay now but wish to have postage delayed until they return from holiday at the start of August. As all my sales require signed delivery reciept - I dont see any of this as a problem as AP would card the item to the nearest P.O. My questions are;
1. How long would AP hold the item for after being carded?
2. Would accepting payment and NOT pposting immediately affect any of my DSR's?
3. Recommended succesful course of action from sellers whove experienced similar situations.
TIA!

Quite possibly, yes - depending on how much thought your buyer puts into leaving feedback.
eBay have now introduced a new criterion where buyers have to tick whether an item arrived by the estimated postage time or not.
What's more: Buyers are able to tick the 'No' box even when leaving feedback earlier than the estimated delivery date!
There was an item I bought this week. I was about to leave feedback this morning (July 18), four days before the 'Estimated Delivery Date' and I was still able to tick 'No' button if I felt cruel or made an error. I think it would be very easy for your buyer to similarly tick the 'No' button because it didn't arrive by eBay's quoted date, regardless of whether they asked you to delay sending it or not.
