Buyer leaves unfair feedback. Ebay will not help.

I am a seller of embrodiered items in my Ebay store.

Our items clearly state items will be posted out within 3-5 business days.

We had a customer purchase a bag on thursday 5pm therefore not counted as a business day.  She mesages childs name  colour of mini design and ship ASAP . Thats it , no day she required item. we sent her a msg "thank you for your payment we will created and notify you when your order is shipped" SHe contacts us Monday morning has the been posted. We tell her items are shipped within 3-5 business days and will create your order today, she gets abusve and saids she needs the item thursday for kindy which she had not mentioned. We explained to her the amount of orders we have and that we are placing her infront of alot of other to get her item to her quickly. Then she comes back with another msg

After I copied and pasted her paypal transaction was on thursday 5pm. And that her item is ASAP we shipped on the 2nd business day . I did not reply to this msg as we were getting no where and I could see what was going to happen.

We shipped her item with click and send so there was proof of tracking as its free shipping I pulled out of my own pocket for this. She receievs the bag and leaves unfair feedback.

I contact Ebay and I also had taken a photo of her order for proof of the colours etc. THey could not help me after that she had lied in the feedback.

I then added my side (shouldnt Have) under her feedback and she then comes back with another COMPLETE lie . Again Ebay can not do anything. We never abused her and the item was done exactly as the other 1000's we created even with a photo. How is that fair. She has also left alot of sellers Negative feedback and saying Abusive sellers etc, how does she seem to get away with lying and Ebay can not do anything. Im not so worried about the neutral but saying bag is incomplete is a complete lie and that reflects your business for something that I did not do and would not do.

Very dissapointed in Ebay for being unable to help. I also asked about leaving FB for her they said ok. I know this is out of Ebays policy but what right does she have to do it to us all becuase she left her order to the last minute for her boys kindy and thats our fault.

Thanks,.

Well, thank goodness it's only a neutral and it's already gone from page one.

Most buyers don't look beyond page one.

I don't think this will effect your sales at all.

Make sure to add the buyer to your BBL. And block from communication as well.

P.S. There are always some you can't please, take solace in that.

Re: Buyer leaves unfair feedback. Ebay will not help.

I can understand your frustration here, and I do think the buyer's expectations were a bit out of line, but if you don't mind me making a suggestion.... If you ever receive a similar message from a buyer with their payment, the first thing I would do is send them a quick note confirming the order and dispatch date, that way they have no excuse for not understanding or respecting your processing times.

I know it's a little extra work that shouldn't be necessary when the details are right there in the description (it actually bugs me no end when a seller makes terms very clear and a buyer makes a purchase and seems to expect those terms can be ignored or disregarded for no reason other than they say so....), but at the same time, sometimes it's much better to take a little further pre-emptive action and clarify things before the buyer decides they were hard done by.

You got a neut. Apart from the fact that that will count as a defect come August, I can't see your issue.

You have one neg that will fall off in October, 6 neuts (why is this one special?) and good stars.

Thanks for your replys 🙂

Normally when a buyer requires an item urgent they ask before they purchase we say thats ok and would recommened paying express incase there is a delay with Aus Post which they always seem happy with.

Some buyers think that items are just pulled off a shelf they have to be created then embroidered and we can only do so much at a time due to the time on the machines.

Here what she added

"maybe improve your services by letting customers know they are in for a while wait instead of saying 3-5 days."

Where is it a while wait. I brought a book and it took 5 days for seller to ship and she complains that a personalised item takes from 3 days and we shipped her the 2nd day after purchase

Exactly what it states on my Listing 3-5 business days not 3-5 days. Ppl dont understand this does not include weekends, everyone deserves a day off with their families.

When someone pays and assumes we will do there item with the snap of our fingers I will be making sure they are aware after this , its more the lying she has left for unfair feedback. We really dont mind doing urgent orders as we are always willing to help , shame on this lady though. Will be blocking for sure.

Thanks again.

Thanks Davewill

I guess it just comes down to her unhonest  and unreasonable feedback. 🙂 ANd Ebay could not help.

Guess I should not be so worried .

Thanks again. 😉

Just a suggestion -  perhaps explain in your listing just why you need 3-5 days ... ie you need this time as each item is custom made by hand. Yes most intelligent people realise this ... but some don't have a clue. Better to be proactive.

Unfortunately, some of the changes from ebay/paypal over the past few years have made it very easy for difficult buyers to be, well, even more difficult.

try not to let it bother you.

Most buyers will accept the occassional neg or nuetral feedback for what it is.

The main thing i suppose is not to receive several negative comments / ratings within a short period.
