Buyer lied on feedback

I bought some tickets on eBay but realized they were for the wrong day, so I sold them. The buyer who bought them from me paid but I sold them for $100 less then I bought them for. The original person I bought them from said I could have a refund and I quickly gave the person I sold the tickets to a refund. I expected negative feedback, but the seller lied on my feedback and said I sold them elsewhere.

I explainned the situation to them so he didn't missunderstand me. So it is obvious he lied on my feedback form to make the story sound worse then it actually was. I made the mistake to contact eBay customer service but they just told me what I already knew and that if someone lies on my feedback they won't do anything about it and the person refused to remove his feedback.

Is there anything else I can do? Or am I stuck with a big fat lie on my feedback form?

Buyer lied on feedback

eBay will remove the feedback with a court order.

But, regardless of the comments, you did make a contract with your buyer and you renegged. You didn't honour your sale. Pretty bad form to be honest.

Sorry but the buyer is right and you did not complete the sale.

You should have listed them at a price you would have been happy to sell them for.

The buyer has not lied as you did reneg on the sale.

Sorry not what you want to hear.

I would say the only reason the other seller refunded you is they got a better price elsewhere to refund to readily.

That doesn't excuse lying.

The buyer said I was going to sell the tickets elsewhere.  I have the emails to prove that is a lie so saying that is not a lie, **bleep** are you on?! I can give you or anyone the email where I explainned things to him that proves he was lying.

Why do you justafy lying on a feedback form? Doesn't that make you just as bad as liars?

And if you lot think lying on a feedback form in eBay is ok just remember one day it could happen to you and you will be powerless to stop it.

Sorry, but now you're just splitting hairs.

Technically, it could be said that you sold them back to the person you bought them off.

Either way, you sold these tickets to the buyer.

Then you got a better offer elsewhere.

Despite your legal and ethical obligations to supply what the buyer bought from you

You renegged on the deal, to your benefit.

You broke the contract via non performance, and I am guessing that the buyer wasn't particularly happy about it and the cancellation wasn't mutual, but rather a case of "suck it up, I ain't sendin' 'em to you, so take the refund and get over it"

......................

Maybe next time, wait until you are sure that you want to sell something, before you do, or at least list it at a price you are prepared to accept for it.

With the details available here, I don't blame the buyer for being miffed

Feedback sounds more than correct from that story. What is the buyer missed out on different tickets because they committed to yours and now have neither?
