A buyer has messaged me asking for a discount if they buy four separate items from me.
How do I do this? Do I reduce the asking prices of my items for sale or is there an easier way?
TIA.
Kind regards

Maybe the easiest way is to tell them you will reduce the postage? They buy the items at full price, wait for an invoice, you send them reduced postage invoice.
But if you already have free postage, another way is to take down the 4 listings and make a new listing - special listing for xxxx with the reduced price.

Or... put offers enabled on the listings, so they can make a reduced offer.

If none are free postage, get them to add them to the cart. and do a request total. You can than apply a discount on the invoice for any amount you agree

As your items appear to be free post, your price already includes a postage cost. I would go down the Special Listing for XXX" route; that way you can make sure your total price includes the appropriate combined shipping cost. If you allow him to make offers, there is no guarantee he will pay for all the orders, meaning you will miss out if you give a discount off the total for each one, assuming he will purchase, and pay for, all the items. With the Special Listing you can make sure he is purchasing ALL the items, and is paying the appropriate postage. Make it just a 3 day listing (I think that's the minimum) and tell him the listing will disappear after that. If they are a relative newbie, you may have to walk them through the Special Listing idea; provide a link to the Special Listing for them to click on.

I dunno now - I think I like the "add best offer" option - less trouble
In fact, looking at the OP's items, I would have best offer enabled on all items.

Go with either a special listing for all 4 items, or have them buy all 4 items and then you can refund a set amount.
Don,t lower the price of the separate listings, this enables your prospective buyer to then buy 1 item at a reduced price and decide for what ever reason not to proceed with the other 3 purchases.
Yes, it is a known scam and I have been caught once, and only once.
