Just had a buyer that was sending me slightly odd messages, so checked feedback and noticed they have negged every second purchase they've made, the latest was for a $3.25 purchase. What can be done about this ? I've worked so hard to gain my 100% but feel this person likes to throw their weight around over very little

Have they made a purchase from you? If not, you can prevent them from doing so (or making any more if they have) by adding their ID to your Blocked Bidder List.
This link should take you to your list, and you can type in (or copy / paste) their ID

Edited to add - if they have already purchased from you, how to handle their messages and hopefully avoid an unwarranted neg would depend a bit on what the nature of the messages is.

put them on your blocked buyer list

edit: what digi says

If they have already bought from you, then the deed is done and you need to be very polite and factual, as helpful as you can.
Then cross your fingers you are not one of the even number of purchases!!
But if you do get a neg, give a bit of thought to the wording of a factual reply to defend yourself.

That sounds interesting, but exactly what do they plan to do?
I would imagine it is a bit of a minefield in that someone might genuinely hit trouble with several sellers in a row.
Can't say it has ever happened to me personally but I've had the very occasional bad experience.
Mind you, if someone has given over 30 negs in 3 months, my suspicion is that this person would be better off buying elsewhere as they have poor judgement. Or else don't read the ads. Ebay isn't for them.

Can you please follow this buyer and let us know when you do so as this is the only way we can get to see their user ID so we can add her to our blocked lists.

Apparently eBay is introducing a new policy that will punish those types of buyers soon so I hope they get on that and fulfil it
And therein lies the problem phonecase, eBay can be very tardy in enforcing their own policies, a glaring example (among many) would be the inaction taken on serial bid-retractors......................................
