Harley is correct that feedback extortion is a reason ebay will remove negative feedback. Feedback extortion is when a buyer asks for items or services ( eg. free, express or reduced postage costs ) that where not included in the original listing. I have
had success every time I applied to have negs removed for this, so it appears ebay do follow through on this one.

I'm very glad ebay agreed! That 'buyer' and others like them make me soooo angry.
I too would take Harley's line- throw the stuggle card straight back, and if I got one more msg like that- unpaid case and block. More front than Myers, ughh.
Have a lovely trip, sounds exciting ๐

Like Harley, I get insanely mad when someone pulls the woe is me disability card. That's her problem if she has to take out a loan to pay for the stuff, not yours. She bid on the items, no-one held a gun to her head. Add her to your blocked buyer list immediately. Add her associate who left all the negs too. That will stop them trying to buy anything else with the express purpose of trashing your feedback. http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin
Also make sure you have buyer blocks in place to stop people who have 2 or more non paying strikes buying from you, because often these people are repeat offenders. Tick the box down the bottom to say that blocked buyers can't contact you (it won't stop her as she is involved in a current transaction, but will stop any future contact once 60 days has passed). http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences
EBay will remove the negs as the items weren't paid for. Once the disputes close they should come off automatically within a few days, but if they don't, call them and they will remove them while you are on the phone.
I had someone pull the disability card on me, so I threw it straight back at her. She accused me of ripping off the disabled. I saw red and had to wait a day until I replied to her otherwise I would have ripped her a new one. I have yet to see one buyer where it obviously shows "I am disabled or I am a disability carer" anywhere on their account, so for people to pull that stunt is disgusting.

Best of luck, safe travels & have a wonderful Christmas.
I just hope you weren't relying on the proceeds of the sales for your trip.

Gosh I hate with a passion people pulling the disability card.
Absolutely, I would go so far as to say the majority of people who try this are not disabled, those of us who are usually want to be treated the same as the able bodied and being disabled does not always mean you are short of money anyway.
It denigrates all those who fight for the disabled not to be discriminated against when people want to be treated differently.

The buyer sounds to me like a professional writer of begging letters - the kind of person who hounds celebrities and lottery winners with sob stories.

thats the sort of experience that leaves a rotten taste in your mouth and also makes the whole ebay thing a stressful negative. It seems this time of year really flushes out the low life and they are everywhere.
I am so pleased you have resolved the issue before leaving so fly away and feel free and have a really lovely holiday and make some memories with your daughter.
